GOAL of the GAMC

The German-American Men’s Club of Middle Franconia is one oft he most prestigious clubs in Franconia. It was founded in 1970 by Germans, Americans and members of the area’s Military Communities in a dedicated effort to bring people together to promote and foster greater appreciation of their local traditions, customs, history and culture.

The goal of the Club is simple: A sincere desire to promote good friends and neighbours and create improved mutual understanding and confidence.

The Club has matured over the years, but the overall purposes have remained the same, the desire to bring together Germans, Americans, and English speaking people of other nations for educational, recreational, and social activities sponsored by the Club.

Over the years, the Club has visited museums, churches, palaces and castles, and the wine growing areas of this wonderful region. The Club is widely recognized and has been invited to visit the manufacturing facilities of numerous large corporations such as Audi, BMW, the Deutsche Bahn, Hugo Boss, Lufthansa, Mercedes, Quelle, Porsche, Schöller and Siemens, as well as many other companies. The U.S. Military (Army and Air Force) and the German Bundeswehr have both sponsored Club visits to their training facilities.

The goal of the German-American Men’s Club is to continue in this tradition, increasing its membership, and continuing to add contributions to International understanding. English speaking men and their wives of all nations are invited to join. The membership today consists of individuals from all walks of life. Members are prominent in the arts, education, industry, commerce and military personnel, both active and retired.

The Club language is English. Club Members may sponsor applicants for membership or  applicants may contact the club Secretary directly if you are interested in joining.
