Dear Friends,

This year´s annual Franconian wine tasting trip was attended by 19 members. The tour started with a guided visit of the Würzburg Residence. It was impressive as expected, also for those of us who knew it from earlier visits because restauration works in many rooms were completed since then. The wine tasting at the Randersacker winery “Trockene Schmitts” was accompanied by an opulent Brotzeit and extremely competent comments on dry wine by Bruno Schmitt, one of the two brothers who own the place. Helmut Humm deserves our thanks for organizing the trip.

Family Picnic

The Hornig family has again permitted us to use their beautiful meadow and facilities at this historic location and we thank them very much.

Our Board member Norbert Friemelt also this year volunteered to organize the picnic and will take care of all the arrangements with the help of his team. Come and enjoy the GAMC- specific blend of German “Spanferkel”-grill and traditional American cuisine, Bier vom Fass, softdrinks, etc.

We kindly ask you to bring your own set of cutlery and plate.

We again expect beautiful weather for this most popular event of the year. Should this expectation fail and we cannot eat outside we have ample space inside the barn as well. There is also plenty of room for children to play and enjoy the surroundings.

This event is free of charge for all members and their immediate families, children and grandchildren. All other adult guests will pay € 15,00.
